Overview

Maintaining good oral hygiene is a critical part of dental health, and your hygienist plays a vital role in keeping your gums healthy and free from disease.

During a hygiene session, your teeth are thoroughly cleaned to remove plaque and tartar. We use Airflow polishing to lift surface stains, then share personalised advice to support your oral health between visits.

Common questions

Common questions

What is Airflow?

Airflow is a polishing technique that uses a controlled stream of air, water and fine powder to remove plaque, biofilm and surface stains. Most patients find it comfortable and quick.

How often should I see the hygienist?

For most patients, every six months, alongside their check-up. If you have gum disease, more frequent visits may be recommended.

Does a hygiene appointment hurt?

Most people feel little or no discomfort. If your gums are sensitive, let us know and we will adapt the treatment to keep you comfortable.

Start with a consultation.

Every treatment begins with an examination and an honest conversation about your options.
